What you see on the HUD
When WorkBuddy asks whether a tool may run, the request appears on the HUD with Deny and Allow once. WorkBuddy's sessions are in the session list and the statistics under the names WorkBuddy gives them, renamed ones included, with their tokens, models and, where the model has a list price, an estimated cost marked ≈.
Which account does it count against?
Agent HUD does not show one, and reads no quota for WorkBuddy. One case shows on the HUD: when WorkBuddy records that a model has reached its plan's limit, that model's limit appears as used up until the reset time WorkBuddy gave, and then it goes away.
Running turns and replies
Not shown. Agent HUD gets no signal from WorkBuddy when a turn starts or ends, so the HUD does not show WorkBuddy at work, and a finished turn brings no reminder. Requests come through a permission hook that the release adds to WorkBuddy's settings while client hooks are on. Questions and plan approvals stay in WorkBuddy. A request you leave goes back to WorkBuddy after 10 minutes.
What does Agent HUD read?
The project transcripts in ~/.workbuddy, with saved tool results skipped, and WorkBuddy's own session database, opened read-only, for session names and each session's credits. WorkBuddy's sign-in is not read. A GLM Coding Plan key saved in WorkBuddy is read only for the GLM quota, and only when a GLM plan is also set up outside WorkBuddy.
WorkBuddy and CodeBuddy
The two record their work the same way, but Agent HUD reads them as two agents, so their sessions and tokens never mix. CodeBuddy has its own page.
On iPhone and Apple Watch
On the same network as the release, iPhone and Apple Watch show WorkBuddy's tokens and sessions without a subscription. With Agent HUD Remote they show on any network, and you can answer WorkBuddy's requests there too.
